Candle Wedding Favors: Beautiful Accent Ideas for Your Tables

By Sophia C.

Your wedding day, one of the most important days in any couples' life together is a time for romance, tradition and sharing your love with the people who mean the most to you - your family and friends. Once you've selected the theme of your wedding, the colors and the date, it's time to start picking out the little touches that will make your wedding stand out and be remembered for all time. You can do this by adding the warm ambiance of candles to your wedding decor that also double as wedding favors for guests to enjoy.

Personalized votives. Personalized wedding decor has always been a traditional way for the bride and groom to make their wedding day special. This can be done by monogramming the bride and groom's initials on everything from wedding stationary to candle votives. For an even nicer touch, try adding some meaningful graphics such as double hearts, rings or doves to these items as well.

Gel candles. If you want to have a more modern look to your candle accents, then include gel candles into your wedding decor. These candles usually come in neutral glass votives and may be clear or be in special colors. Some even have silk flowers, seashells or other small items inside to match the theme of your wedding. Gel candles give off a much better scent than wax candles. And they look stunning when lit up in your wedding or at the reception hall. Gel votives are nice to give away as favors too.

Heart shaped candles. Give your wedding day an air of romance with heart shaped candles placed around at tables and in displays. You can group several together in varying heights on candle plates or mirrors to create interesting centerpieces or set them individually at place settings or on the wedding party or guest tables. Tie or wrap them in white ribbons with your names and wedding date written on them in gold or silver for that personal touch.

Floating candles. These are wonderful to use in just about any wedding theme. The great thing about floating candles, besides being available in every shape, color and scent imaginable, is that you can use them without worrying about starting a fire. Place floating candles in bowls, buckets or pails and set on and around tables for fun accents. Great for a casual or elegant wedding theme.

Sand candles. Remember when you were a child and you spent hours playing in the sand and building sandcastles at the beach? Well, you can bring some of those happy memories to your wedding decor by using sand candles in your decor. These are wonderful for a tropical or beach wedding of course, but don't forget that they also look wonderful with a Moroccan or other exotic themed wedding as well. Sand candles burn longer and they make wonderful wedding favors for your guests to take home.

Candle favors are easy and fun to create. Your guests will be amazed at your creativity. - 15437
