Though some people don't take them seriously, anxiety disorders are a kind of condition that should be regarded seriously, since they can generate other problems. These are some of the symptoms that you may experience when you are afflicted by an anxiety disorder. Symptoms To Be Aware Of

When you're anxious, you can feel certain changes in your body and the symptoms appear to be never-ending and influencing your daily existance when you've got an anxiety disorder. Among these symptoms are intestinal discomforts, diarrhea, dry mouth, fast heartbeat (or what you could call palpitations), tightness of the chest, shortness of breath, shaking, problem in swallowing, frequent urination, and dizziness. This is brought about by your body's release of a hormone called adrenaline that forces your body to reply with either "fight or flight."

Other symptoms of an anxiety disorder may include mental symptoms like sleeplessness, feeling worried, feeling nervous and twitchy all the time, lassitude, irritable or quick to hate, incapacity to focus, or a sense of being in an imaginary situation and not in control of your actions. Also, other mental symptoms of anxiety disorder may include the feeling of going loony or going out of your mind.

It's also known that an anxiety disorder could be a symptom of other psychological health issues, for example depression or alcohol reliance. It may also be due to substances like ecstasy, marijuana, LSD, or caffeine ( coffee, tea, soda ) or by withdrawal from long term drugs like tranquilizers. Stress is also a typical side effect of many prescriptions and over the counter medicines. So be certain to inform your doctor about all medicines you are ingesting. This information can be vital to a correct diagnosis.
