Learn How To Control Appetite Effectively

By Therese Zachary

One of the best ways to lose weight is by controlling your appetite. When you control appetite, this means you have lesser cravings and therefore eat less. You'll also be able to do some work outs without feeling de-motivated simply because your hungry. Eventually, you'll start to lose weight in no time! Some popular ways to control appetite is by exercising, making some changes in your diet and drinking lots of water. Additional help can also be found in supplements that could help you reach your weight loss goals even faster.

Exercise

An intense exercise won't help in curbing your appetite. In fact, after doing some intense workouts, you may have the tendency to take in less food in the next several hours. Furthermore, exercising also boosts energy expenditure and can encourage the appetite to compensate for calories burned off during the workout. However, keep in mind that there are only some types of exercise that could help you out in specifically controlling your appetite.

Typically, the more intense the workout, the hotter your body temperature and all the more suppressed your appetite will be for a number of hours after the workout. Studies have shown that working out at low intensity and in a cold environment will not have much influence on hunger or your appetite. For example, when you swim, you are in colder temperatures and you are unlikely to have an intense work out. This means you won't be able to suppress your appetite effectively this way, although you could combine low-intensity workouts with high-intensity ones.

Running - Running is considered one of the best ways to get a high-intensity workout, so try this one on a regular basis if you want to control your appetite effectively. Studies have shown that the harder you exercise the more you can control appetite. Not only that, you have to have a hotter temperature as well. Other types of exercise that raise the body temperature enough and are intense enough include bicycling, jump roping, and aerobic steps. Eventually, after many hours of controlled appetite, you'll get your normal appetite back. But the good news is, it won't tend to increase too much that you'll start consuming more food than you should.

Food

It may be hard to believe but you can control your appetite through food-certain kinds of food. Eating green vegetables like cabbage, lettuce and other leafy vegetables can help you control your appetite because you can fill yourself with them and not feel guilty about the calories. Since you can eat lots of vegetables you can feel full faster. Also, it takes just as many calories for your system to digest them as you obtain out of the veggies themselves. Of course, we all want our veggies tasty, so we can always add some low fat dressing. Eating apples, bananas and pickles are also known to help control appetite.

Water

You don't have to eat everytime you feel a pang of hunger. There is a saying that when you feel hungry, maybe you're just thirsty. And at times this is true. The more you fill up with water, the lesser you'll eat actual food, because then you'd have felt full already. A tip is to drink a glass of water before having your meal, so that you'll eat less later. At least 8 glasses of water a day is recommended.

Alternatives

Of course, all these methods aren't as easy as they sound. We're all busy and sometimes just need something more convenient. More and more people these days are turning to natural products because of their safety and equal effectiveness. Natural appetite suppressants such as the Caralluma herb is one of the latest natural suppressants in the market today. It is often taken in capsule or pill form for more convenience and faster results.

Natural Suppressant - Herbs like the Caralluma are gaining more trust, as it is documented that these herbs have actually been used in their local regions to suppress appetite. For instance, tribesmen have been using the Caralluma to ward off hunger during long and harsh journeys. These herbal products are helpful especially during times when we just aren't motivated to go through another strenuous workout or when we've just messed up our diet regimen. - 15437
